Gimli

alias Eastwood

We chose this name Abdelhaziz for him, just because Abdelhaziz was a famous fighter for freedom in Palestina. In this name you can also find his dad's name Delhas(z), so it was not difficult for us to decide. At home we call him Gimli, and I think this name is also a good choice, Gimli is the red haired, very brave dwarf in the Lord of the Rings, and our boy is also red haired, brave and by birth the most littlest of the litter.

Gimli has a big fan club, it started in the plane, all the stewardesses circled around him and gave him pieces from a sandwich with smoked chicken. He had got the services from first class flights. In the beginning there were some problems with eating, he just got no time to eat, the world was so exciting and he had to discover it right now, no time to lose.

Sharing his time with us we went with him to a baby-coursing and a baby-show, both with very good results. The judge (Andre van den Broek) from the show said "he has a face like a dream", good bone, good angulations and a very good mover.

Gimli has a very nice character; he is always happy and cheerful. With his dream face he steals many hearts from men and women. At this moment the Italian Greyhound named Lotec is his biggest friend. When he sees him, he is as happy as can be and wants to play with him.

His favourite game at home is to tease our two black cats, they totally ignore him, and so he tries to do everything to get a reaction of them. It's so funny to see what he is inventing for it. For the future we've got big plans with him, but first he has to grow and grow and will be the wonderful Saluki we think he will be. ~ Henriëtte & Chris
